What Love Has Taught Me Throughout Life

Foodnista Soul

Valentine’s Day Greetings

Valentine’s Day is this week, and I want to send LOVE to everyone! This is one of my favorite holidays, in addition to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Love in ALL Ways

Love is a glorious and triumphant feeling to experience and receive. Love comes in all forms and guises and is expressed in various ways.

When I meditate on love, I often think about 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13

It states:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. 13 And now these three remain faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Reflection on Love

I treasure the relationships with my dear loved ones. As I reflect on love throughout my life, my actions of showcasing this feeling have come a long way. It’s taken many shapes and forms throughout the seasons with different people. However, one thing always remained authentic. Exhibiting love has always come from a place of positivity and authenticity, even if the other person didn’t receive it in that light. Compassion, patience, empathy, forgiveness, and grace are critical in modeling love to others.

Seven Attributions of Love

These seven qualities of love hold dear to my heart.

Love is…

  1. Bona fide
  2. Forgiving
  3. Genuine
  4. Honest
  5. Organic
  6. Powerful
  7. Unconditional

Never take love for granted.

Love one another,

FS x
