Time for lemonade!!

This place, called Lemonade, at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), is such an adorable place. It’s located at Terminal 5. The food looked great; though, I didn’t get to try it, since I had already eaten something, but I did try their lemonade and cookie- haha! My dessert!

Of the lemonade selection they had that day, I chose to try the strawberry rhubarb. You know me and strawberries. I choose that fruit over all! It was absolutely refreshing! I loved it! I plan to try the food next time I’m in town, but I really wanted to try their lemonade.

I found an informational article on what rhubarb is: http://thepioneerwoman.com/food-and-friends/rhubarb-101/. Rhubarb reminds me of chard. I have yet to find this and try using it in my cooking. I learned something new that day!

Their chocolate-chip cookie was to-die-for! Definitely satisfied my craving!

There’s many locations of Lemonade in Cali. Check it out next time you’re in town!

It’s time for “Real Food!”

Happy Friday! I’m excited to say that I finally tried Real Food Café at Honolulu Park Place. The chef and owner is Heidi Anderson. She’s really sweet and amazing! She does catering, she’s a personal chef, teaches cooking classes, a blogger, and photographer. Wow!

The BF’s: Smoked bacon and mushroom sandwich. It’s actually a pizza, but the chef was able to make it into a sandwich.

Mine: chicken pesto sandwich. Mmm!

We enjoyed the food very much. I can’t wait to try more of her cooking!!

Real Food Cafe is on social media and the chef’s contact info is included in this link: http://www.hpponline.org/page/39308~763371/Real-Food-Cafe

Sunday funday full of yummy treats!

Happy Sunday Funday!

I enjoyed a couple of yummy treats at a Baby Expo today. I love these fairs! They have such awesome food vendors.

Yummy! I got bubble gum! My ultimate favorite flavor, next to strawberry!

It was really good! There was even a purple gumball in the Popsicle! My mouth of all blue in the end. Haha!

Uncle Lani’s poi mochi. Soo good!

I love poi mochi. My sister sometimes makes this yummy dessert. It’s not too difficult to make. Here is a simple recipe: http://www.food.com/recipe/hawaiian-poi-mochi-237372

This soup is a winner!

One night, I had the intent of making homemade ground turkey vegetable soup, but instead, I turned it into an Italian soup! That was the greatest idea- the soup turned out absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I wiped out the pot! Haha!

It was a simple dish to make. You can use whatever vegetables you choose. I had leftover carrots and zucchini. I added garlic and onions. I love ground turkey- I could eat that every day- that was my meat of choice. I seasoned the chicken broth with pepper, garlic salt, Hawaiian salt, and Italian seasoning. Yum!

Happy Sunday!
