Brunch places are poppin’ up everywhere!

Happy Sunday! Man! Brunch places are popping up everywhere in Hawaii. It’s the new “in” thing! Brunch food is awesome!

I tried Moena CafĂ© with my girlfriend at the new Ka Makana Ali’i Mall in Kapolei. It was really good. I loved the atmosphere. Moena CafĂ© is next to the new Hampton Inn & Suites. I didn’t know that there’s a location in Hawaii Kai as well, at Koko Marina Shopping Center.

Sunday funday full of yummy treats!

Happy Sunday Funday!

I enjoyed a couple of yummy treats at a Baby Expo today. I love these fairs! They have such awesome food vendors.

Yummy! I got bubble gum! My ultimate favorite flavor, next to strawberry!

It was really good! There was even a purple gumball in the Popsicle! My mouth of all blue in the end. Haha!

Uncle Lani’s poi mochi. Soo good!

I love poi mochi. My sister sometimes makes this yummy dessert. It’s not too difficult to make. Here is a simple recipe: http://www.food.com/recipe/hawaiian-poi-mochi-237372

Sunday Funday brunch lunch!

Happy Sunday! Last week, my boyfriend and I enjoyed lunch at the famous Boots & Kimo’s in Kailua. It’s a breakfast/brunch/lunch place that closes by 3pm every day, except Tuesday.

Tons of Japanese tourists line up outside to eat there. They are known for their macadamia nut pancakes. Yummy!

We shared the banana mac nut pancakes, which was awesomely delicious. Banana pancakes are my ultimate favorite! We did not need to pour syrup over the hotcakes. The sauce was enough! I ordered Grandma’s own hamburger steak recipe breakfast with eggs (over-easy) and rice. Oh, it was so good! I always enjoy trying different “homemade” hamburger steaks. The taste is so satisfying! Makes me want to make some in my kitchen. Can’t beat homemade hamburger!

…and the holiday shopping begins! But first- burgers!!

Happy Sunday! This afternoon, my boyfriend and I checked out the new mall in Kapolei, Ka Makana Ali’i. It was a very nice mall. We enjoyed it there! It’s always nice to see that side of the island (the west side) expanding with new development. Moreover, it’s awesome to have a new mall!!!

We decided to have lunch at Five Guys. We’ve been wanting to try it, as we heard the food was good. The first location opened in Mililani (north side) about six months ago.

We loved it there! We were impressed that there were free peanuts that customers could grab. In addition, there was an awesome digital soda machine, with a variety of different soft drinks to choose from, with FREE refills!!!

I ordered the mini cheeseburger. Thank goodness I did. This did not look like a mini to me. We also shared the “Five Guys” style fries. Yummy! The food was da bomb, along with the free refills of soda. We shared a Strawberry Sprite. That was refreshing!

#SundayFunday for #GudetamaNthings

Eggs ‘n Things is doing a limited time promotion of a Gudetama-inspired menu from September 30th-October 28th. We checked it out last Sunday to see what the hype was about.

We first discovered Gudetama in Japan last April. He’s a “lazy egg” and one of the newest Sanrio characters who is rising to fame in Hawaii. He has his own shelf at the Sanrio stores.
