Brunch places are poppin’ up everywhere!

Happy Sunday! Man! Brunch places are popping up everywhere in Hawaii. It’s the new “in” thing! Brunch food is awesome!

I tried Moena Café with my girlfriend at the new Ka Makana Ali’i Mall in Kapolei. It was really good. I loved the atmosphere. Moena Café is next to the new Hampton Inn & Suites. I didn’t know that there’s a location in Hawaii Kai as well, at Koko Marina Shopping Center.

This is the fresh corned beef with eggs (over-easy). It was yummy!

We shared the sweet French toast. It was to-die-for! I love French toast!

Have a great new week!

Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend!

Happy belated Cinco de Mayo! On Thursday night, I made a Mexican breakfast dinner. It was a spur-of-the-moment meal idea, and it was delicious and quite awesome!!!

This is an over-easy egg sandwich, topped with Mexican cheese, on French toast. It was very good! The French toast wasn’t too sweet and paired very well with the egg. The yolk oozed out and we used the toast to soak it up.

I made the French toast a little differently. Here are the ingredients I’ve used:

  • milk
  • eggs
  • brown sugar
  • maple syrup

It turned out really yummy. I replaced the vanilla extract and cinnamon.

Mexican steak!!! I topped the steak with Mexican cheese, pico de gallo, salsa, and sour cream. Yummy!!

Have fun celebrating and be safe!!

It’s time to “Button Up!”

A couple months ago, I took my dear friend out for her bday. We tried Button Up Café in Pearl City. We loved it! I can’t wait to return again soon, so I can try more of their delicious foods.

Doesn’t this look good? My gf ordered the Portuguese sausage and spam omelette. My gf enjoyed her meal very much.

I ordered the French toast with bananas. That was very yummy! Mmm!

I loved the atmosphere of this place. It was very cute. This joint is run by Koreans- they have some Korean dishes I would like to try next time. They are famous for their stuffed French toast. Sounds yummy!

Think pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Today, my boyfriend and I dined at Eggs n Things at the Ala Moana location, and found that they are donating $1.00 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation when customers order pink ribbon sprinkles on their dishes.

I ordered their french toast and added the sprinkles. It was so pretty!

I just love these sprinkles. So cute!

I know people dear to my heart who have passed away from breast cancer and who are survivors. Please support breast cancer research. I hope one day soon there will be a cure for cancer.

If you are interested in donating, please click on one of the two links below. There are also a couple walks happening this month.
