Gotta love them stir fries!

Happy Sunday, almost October, and Fall!

I love stir fries! I love cooking this dish, too. It’s simple and healthy for ya. I made a teriyaki ground turkey breast rice bowl. It was bomb! Enjoy the videos.

This entrée is inspired by: https://www.yellowblissroad.com/teriyaki-turkey-rice-bowl/

The following ingredients that made this wonderful dish are:

  • Ground turkey breast (ground turkey is fine, too)
  • Rice (any type of rice. I used a mix of quinoa, wild, basmati, jasmine, and white rice)
  • Shoyu (soy sauce)
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • Brown sugar
  • Garlic salt
  • Himalyan pink salt
  • Cornstarch (for thickening of the sauce)
  • Red wine vinegar

It’s a chick pasta dish!

Happy Hump Day! I’m so glad to be cooking weekly again. It’s been a while, as life got busy. Happy and excited to be sharing my homemade dishes with y’all again! Thank you all for your support, Readers!!

I used these roasted garlic chicken sausages to make a hearty pasta bolognese dish.

This dish was very simple to make. I mainly base everything on taste. I don’t really follow recipes, to the tee. I may use them as a guide to make my dish, but I don’t always rely on them.

I boiled large sea shell pasta. The ingredients used for this bolognese dish were: roasted garlic chicken sausage, broccoli, onions, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. I always season my dishes with Himalayan pink salt and pepper. Got to have that pepper!

Bam! It was very light! Sauce blended well with the pasta and ingredients.

Next, onto the chicken dish. I made an Italian-Parmesan chicken bake.

Seasoned the chicken with Italian seasoning, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, Italian dressing, and Parmesan cheese. Yum! Another simple dish!

Yea! So, so good!

I placed the raw chicken (I used boneless thighs) in a baking pan, drizzled olive oil, and sprinkled the pepper and Italian seasoning on both sides. I then added onions and garlic, and poured the Italian dressing on top. Baked at 350º for about 60 minutes. Before serving, I sprinkled the Parmesan cheese.

There you have it! Easy, huh?

Happy cooking!

Holy moly chicken!

Happy Sunday! Man, did this weekend fly back or what?

Last weekend, we celebrated one of my gf’s bdays at Restaurant 604, near the Arizona Memorial. We loved it there. The view was very serene, as it looks out at the marina. We want to go back during the daytime. I’m sure the view is even more breathtaking in the daytime. We enjoy outdoorsy-type of restaurants. It feels more open and we get to breathe in the fresh air.

The bday lady and I ordered the same dish! Roasted half-pound chicken with garlic mash. Oh my gosh! It was a lot of food! The chicken was huge, and so full of meat! I loved it! The gravy and mash were amazing! Mmm mmm! I ate this for the next couple meals. It was THAT much! I want to try their pasta next! You know me and pasta! My go-to comfort food!

Get your lamb special!

Earlier this week, my bf and I dined at the Cattle Company Steakhouse (aka Black Angus Steakhouse). I love it there. Their food is always scrumptious and it’s such a great deal! I ordered the (half-rack) lamb chop special. Oh.my.goodness! It was to-die-for! The chops were so juicy and that mint chimichurri sauce was an amazing pair with the meat. I’m not too much of a mint fan, but that sauce was killer!! I have to try making it. It so reminded me of fresh pesto sauce. Yum!

These recipes looks very simple: http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/mint_chimichurri/ & https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1015754-lamb-with-mint-chimichurri

I’m going to try this next time I make lamb at home. I’m excited!

I hope they add this to their main menu! It was such a great deal, and so, so delicious!
