About Foodnista Soul

Aloha e… Welcome to Foodnista’s World!

Foodnista Soul, aka Gini, has been a food blogger since 2015. She enjoys eating out and trying different ethnic foods. She also has a passion for cooking. Foodnista developed this love when she was in high school. Her late paternal grandmother was an inspiration and so giving of herself. She was always in the kitchen, cooking batches of delicious dishes to feed family, friends, and neighbors. Like her grandma, Foodnista’s most joyous part of cooking is sharing her hearty meals and recipes with dear people in her life.

Foodnista is a culinary student at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. She will be earning her Diploma in Culinary Arts and Operations in September 2022. She has enjoyed learning about the culinary industry and the professional orchestration of preparing ingredients, knife cuts, cooking techniques, and plating dishes. She has made dishes that were unfamiliar and outside of her comfort zone (i.e., African cuisine), which was a beautiful and thrilling experience.

Foodnista plans to further her education at Escoffier and obtain an Associate’s Degree in Holistic Nutrition and Wellness. Integrated health, well-being, and diet have been a vital part of Foodnista’s life, especially in the last several years when she developed chronic pain throughout her body. She is excited to transcend her blog, expand, and inspire her readers on health and wellness recipes, dishes, and practices.

Foodnista graduated with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and Certified Dementia Support Group Facilitator (CDSGF). In her full-time work, Foodnista provides aid and support to the gerontology community, while, in turn, receiving knowledge and wisdom from her clients as they share their life experiences.

Our health is a precious gift to the human mind, body, and spirit. I hope you will feel inspired, as I have over the last few years. It has been an everlasting eye-opening journey in discovering and incorporating these wonderful merits of hearty eating and wellness practices in my life.

Mahalo for your support,
