About Foodnista Soul

Aloha e… Welcome to Foodnista’s World!

I’m Gini, the author of the Foodnista Soul blog. I aim to inspire readers to take charge of their health and wellness through a holistic lifestyle approach. I’ve been a food blogger since 2015 and was featured in New York’s Apple Eats blog in 2022.

I hold a Culinary Arts & Operations Degree, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Religious Studies, and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). I provide aid and support to the gerontology community in my full-time work. I also work in a kitchen at a memory care home, providing gourmet meals to residents with dementia.

In 2018, I was honored with the St. Marianne Cope Award for exemplifying my employer’s four core values through professionalism.

My late grandmother inspired my love of cooking. She shared delicious, healthy meals and recipes with family, friends, and neighbors. It was her passion and joy.

Constructive healthy eating and integrated well-being have been vital to my life. Our health is a precious gift to the human mind, body, and spirit. I hope you will feel inspired, as I have over the last few years. I have been blessed with an endless eye-opening journey in discovering and incorporating these excellent merits of wholesome eating and wellness practices in my life. My lifetime goal is to be more centered, grounded, and at peace with myself and my surroundings.

Mahalo, for your support,

FS x
