About Foodnista Soul

Aloha e… Welcome to Foodnista’s World!

Foodnista Soul, aka Gini, has been a food blogger since 2015. She enjoys dining out and trying different ethnic foods. She also has a passion for cooking. Foodnista developed this love when she was in high school. Her late paternal grandmother was an inspiration and so giving of herself. She was always in the kitchen, cooking batches of delicious dishes to feed family, friends, and neighbors. Like her grandma, Foodnista’s favored part of cooking is sharing her hearty meals and recipes with dear people in her life.

Foodnista is a culinary student at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. She will earn her Diploma in Culinary Arts and Operations in November 2022. She has enjoyed learning about the culinary industry and the professional orchestration of preparing ingredients, knife cuts, cooking techniques, and plating dishes. She has made dishes that were unfamiliar and outside of her comfort zone, which was a beautiful and thrilling experience.

Foodnista holds a Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) in Religious Studies and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and Certified Dementia Support Group Facilitator (CDSGF). In her full-time work, Foodnista provides aid and support to the gerontology community while, in turn, receiving knowledge and wisdom from her clients and families as they share their life experiences. In her part-time work, Foodnista works in a kitchen at a memory care home, providing gourmet meals to residents who have dementia.

Constructive healthy eating and integrated well-being have been vital to Foodnista’s life. Together, they create a well-balanced life. Foodnista is excited to expand and transcend her blog. Moreover, she looks forward to educating and inspiring her readers on health and wellness recipes, dishes, and practices.

Our health is a precious gift to the human mind, body, and spirit. I hope you will feel inspired, as I have over the last few years. I have been blessed with an endless eye-opening journey in discovering and incorporating these excellent merits of wholesome eating and wellness practices in my life. My lifetime goal is to be more centered, grounded, and at peace with myself and within my surroundings.

Mahalo, for your support,
