I love snails! Well, escargot, the French appetizer! Not so much the animal. Haha! We once had a family friend’s uncle who used to give us a huge bag of escargots every so often and my dad would prepare it for dinner. Memories! That was awesome! That was the only time I had escargot at home. We usually just order them at a restaurant. It’s hard to find escargot in the markets. I’ve only seen them sold at Whole Foods.
I always seem to classify this dish as part of the seafood family, but I have to remind myself again and again that it’s not. Haha! It’s a snail; it lives on the land, not the sea!

In the last couple months, my BF, family, and I ordered various escargots off the menu from three different restaurants. When we see it on the menu, we just got to have it!
I have to say that all the escargots tasted delicious and very similar, with that garlic butter sauce. Mmmm! I liked Ruth’s Chris’s take on all that cheese covering the escargots. Yum! Having the bread on the side is a perfect pair, so we can soak up the sauce. We definitely can’t let that go to waste!
