Busy busy in the kitchen!

Happy Christmas Eve! Last night, I was busy in the kitchen baking and making an assortment of Christmas desserts for my family and my boyfriend’s family. It was a ton of fun, jamming to Christmas tunes!

First, I made a couple “Christmas-style” (red and green) tofu jello pies for my boyfriend’s family. I decided to experiment and add cream cheese to the mixture. I also made my own whipped cream- yum! I used strawberry and lime jellos. I usually stick to the berry blue, but I thought I’d try different flavors. Plus, I wanted it to be Christmas colors. The pie mixtures were ono, especially with the cream cheese. I used about 1/4 of the block.


Next, I made a strawberry-prosecco-cream cheese cake with my prosecco frosting for my family. Prosecco is a sparkling wine. I’m sure it will be delish. The batter tasted yummy before popping it into the oven. The frosting tasted amazing. The prosecco gave it a lil kick. It was my first time making my own frosting.


For the frosting, I used butter, powdered sugar, salt, and prosecco.

Last, I made a prosecco fruit gelatin for both my family and my boyfriend’s family. I’ve always wanted to make this dish. The recipe was very simple. I bought an assortment of fruits, such as: strawberries, blueberries, and red and green grapes. Below is the recipe.

I’m excited to try it. The mixture tasty yummy before pouring it into the bowl of fruits.

I used two different types of prosecco for the cake and for the fruit gelatin.


I had a little tasting sampling party while cooking. They were both good; very light and carbonated. Both brands tasted nearly the same.
