Oxtail galore!!!

I love oxtail, even though there’s not much meat on it. When it’s cooked to “perfection,” the meat just falls off the bone. It’s so tender, it’s to-die-for!!!

The new Kam Bowl Restaurant is now opened at Kamehameha Shopping Center in Kalihi, where the old Kenny’s Restaurant used to be. Kam Bowl was a bowling alley across the street, where Walgreens is now, and they had a restaurant that was famous for their oxtail soup! I was excited to hear that Kam Bowl was re-opening their own restaurant again when Kenny’s closed. I had to try their oxtail soup again. However, as I came across their menu, I saw oxtail ramen listed. I tried that instead. It was pretty good. It was on the lighter side, not as filling, is what I’m trying to say, haha! It was listed under “light meals.” Nonetheless, I enjoyed the dish! I’ve never had oxtail soup with noodles before. I’m used to eating it with rice.

At Gyotaku, Pearl City location, I ordered the oxtail udon. That was really delicious and very filling! They were generous in giving a lot of oxtail. Doesn’t that look yummy? Mmm! My mouth is salivating already!
